Our Sumi wallpaper is a Japanese-inspired design full of satisfying swirls and ink and paper textures. This unique design is the result of an ancient art technique known as ‘suminagashi’. To create our abstract Sumi mural, we used warm beige-toned dyes artfully mixed with water to form a marbled effect. This design is then transferred onto a soft paper surface, and scanned digitally to capture the pattern perfectly in high detail.
