Top 3 Colours of The Year for 2023

In December, Pantone revealed their Colour of The Year - a rich and rebellious shade called 'Viva Magenta'. But what about the other colours coming into focus in 2023?

Here at Hovia we're interior experts, and we know the ins-and-outs of this year's trending tones forecast. A few of them were too compelling and essential to pick just one, so we've elected three shades as our Colours of The Year for 2023!

These are our three top colours...

1

Copper Apricot

It’s an energising but rich orange tone that creates an unmatched sense of warmth in interiors.

Lauren Kavanagh, Art Director at Hovia

Copper Apricot works well with dark wood decor and dry textures like terracotta clay, which you can use to create a desert-inspired boho space.

Or, opt for a soft and restorative style by bringing in cooler tones like peach and mint.

Copper Apricot is this year’s answer to Apricot Crush, and it highlights the importance of cosy and intimate interiors right now.

2

Warm Blue pairs well with natural and tactile materials like wood, rattan, sea grass and clay. Neutral sandy tones and off-whites compliment this colour, too.

Antoni Ferguson, Photographer & Stylist at Hovia

This calming and tranquil blue with warm undertones takes us gently into the new year, acting as a relaxing reset for our homes.

Applying Warm Blue to walls with wallpaper, murals or paint will let you make the most of this colour’s refreshing coast and sky-inspired qualities.

3

Digital Lavender

Digital Lavender’s a soothing tone, but it also feels incredibly playful and makes a bold statement in interiors. This colour combines the surreal digital realm with the dreamy landscapes of reality.

Catherine Jacob, Head of Design at Hovia

This chilled-out tone pairs nicely with plenty of other pastels and muted colours. Daring interior designers will be seen combining it with deeper tones this year, too, such as burgundy reds and navy blues.

Digital Lavender is the stand-out colour of 2023 according to WGSN and Coloro. This shade is an embodiment of the year, and we’re particularly looking forward to seeing how our creative customers will decorate with it on their walls!
